Bookkeeper

Elk Hill is currently seeking an experienced bookkeeper located at its Goochland campus.  Duties include but are not limited to client billing, collection of receivables, process payments and classify them appropriately; create invoices, process cash receipts through deposits at Elk Hill’s bank and manage petty cash.  Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to complete schedules for the year end external audit.

Must have a High School diploma with additional course work in business or related accounting field.  Experience in performing financial and/or accounting transactions in a multi-location environment, experience with accounting software, Peachtree preferred, Medicaid Standards and extensive use of Excel.

Science Teacher

Elk Hill – Varina Day School is seeking a Science Teacher to develop and provide a learning experience for each student that is responsive to his unique educational needs and in accordance with the total program goals.  Duties include but are not limited to, develop and implement individualized plans to attain appropriate educational goals for each youth; demonstrate a high level competence, motivation, and commitment as a total staff member; provide a classroom environment for dealing with and resolving emotional problems of each youth; develop and maintain a physical classroom environment conducive to learning; maintain complete records on the academic progress and achievement of each student; log interactions of the group.

Requires licensure or eligibility of licensure as a Science or SPED Teacher.  Requires experience working with at-risk-youth.

Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)

Elk Hill is currently recruiting for Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP) in Charlottesville/Albemarle and the Central Virginia area, including Fluvanna, Goochland, Powhatan and Chesterfield counties, to provide in-home and mental health support services.  Must have a degree in human services field with at least one year experience with children/youth with mental health diagnoses or receiving special education services and a desire to make a difference in the lives of our clients and their families.  Must have the ability to work independently, have strong written and verbal communication skills and exhibit consistent personal integrity in dealing with clients, families, co-workers and community agencies.  Part-time and full-time positions available for individuals willing to travel and available to work non-traditional business hours, including some evenings and weekends.  Competitive hourly rate or salary and travel compensation offered.  Master’s level preferred.  Supervision towards licensure available.

Residential Counselor

Elk Hill Farm is seeking enthusiastic individuals who have a passion for helping others for it’s Charlottesville and Fluvanna County locations.

Responsibilities include:  Assisting adolescents in making life-changing decisions through problem solving, crisis intervention, and various activities. Qualifications include a bachelor’s/associate’s degree in a human service field and at least one year of experience, or an associate’s degree or higher in an unrelated field with least three years’ experience. Therapeutic Mentor
